World Views Year II: The Grandeur of Christianity explores the rich historical influence that Christianity has had upon Western Civilization through the Renaissance and the Reformation.  The ideas of the Reformation spread throughout Europe touching all the disciplines.  Literature studies include Dante, Shakespeare, Milton, and Bunyan; extensive Bible study completed in conjunction with Calvin’s Institutes, The Westminster Confession and The Shorter Catechism culminates in a major research essay entitled “My Personal Confession,” one of the highlights of the program.  Year II will provide a total of 3 and 3/4 course credits.

Again, this is a rigorous high school CORE curriculum - it is not intended to be added onto a large load of additional curriculum.  At most students only need appropriate math, science and/or foreign language classes along with World Views.  Most weeks, an average student should expect to spend at least 3-4 hours PER DAY, 5 days per week (in addition to class time) to prepare adequately for this class.

Prerequisite:  World Views Year I, or approval by Mrs. Moellendorf.

This course is ideal for 10th grade students, although may be beneficial for other students at the discretion of the teacher and parent.
